Man with a Cup

Last week I was in Phoenix waiting for a stoplight to turn green when I saw a man limping down the median with an empty cup.
It isn’t uncommon to see people asking for change. Usually they have their signs and a sad look on their face. Sometimes I give them money and sometimes I don’t. I try to put myself in their shoes without making judgments. What if they just need a hand up with some kind gestures? I don’t know their story and I surely don’t know their intentions. Maybe they just need some help.
As I’m going through all of this in my mind I keep watching him. I see him talking to someone in a car and then hurriedly limp toward them with a giant grin on his face. He puts his cup out and graciously accepts the WATER he was given.
How many people in your life are thirsty? Will you consider pouring their water?
Choose a beautiful day!
